Does the lampshade come with a lamp base?

Our lampshades are sold separately. Lamp bases and light bulbs shown in our photographs are for styling purposes and are not included.

Will it fit my lamp base?

Our lampshades are designed for UK and EU lamp fittings. Please check the fitting specifications on the product page before ordering. If you’re unsure, send us a photograph of your lamp and its fitting, and we’ll be happy to help.

How do I choose the right size?

As a general guide, the lampshade’s height should be around two-thirds of the lamp base’s height. For wider or more substantial bases, a shade roughly 1.5 to 2 times the base’s width can help balance the proportions.

• Small or bedside lamp bases, up to 30 cm tall: choose a lampshade 20–30 cm in diameter.
• Medium lamp bases, 30–45 cm tall: choose a lampshade 30–40 cm in diameter.

These are starting points rather than fixed rules. If you’re unsure, send us a photograph and the dimensions of your base, and we’ll be happy to help.

Which light bulb should I use?

We recommend an LED bulb, which produces less heat. For a soft, inviting atmosphere, choose warm white light around 2700K.

Are all pieces handmade?

Yes. Each Aurelia lampshade is designed and handcrafted individually by Heloisa in her Madrid atelier. Small variations in colour, texture, and finish are part of the handmade process and give each piece its own character.

How long will my order take to be made and dispatched?

Each piece takes time and care to create. Our current production time is 3 weeks before dispatch. Delivery time is additional and depends on your destination. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking details.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all EU countries, excluding the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla. Available delivery options and shipping costs are shown at checkout. If your destination is not listed, please contact us before placing your order.

Can I return my order?

Can I order a bespoke lampshade?

We can explore variations of our existing designs, including different colours, dimensions, and selected design details. Please contact us with the model you have in mind, your preferences, and any reference images. Availability, pricing, and production times are confirmed individually.

Do you work with interior designers and hospitality projects?

Yes. We welcome enquiries from interior designers, architects, hotels, restaurants, and other spaces looking for lighting with a distinctive character. To discuss quantities, bespoke options, or a specific project, please get in touch through our contact page, sharing your ideas and timeline.

Can I add gift packaging and a personal message?

Our optional Gift Box is available for lampshades in the 20 and 30 cm sizes. You can add complimentary initials of up to two letters and a personal gift message of up to 120 characters in your cart. Please click “Save personalisation” to confirm your choices before proceeding to checkout.

Are your lampshades fire resistant?

Our lampshades are made with a fire-resistant lining tested by the UK’s Lighting Association Laboratories, where it passed the glow-wire test. This lining helps protect the fabric laminated to it. For safe use, we recommend LED bulbs and keeping your lampshade away from naked flames and other sources of heat.
