Authorial design

As a Brazilian, and with a deep passion for architecture and for the city of Rio de Janeiro, Heloisa felt a natural calling to develop a lampshade that evokes the Brazilian artists who shaped global design and architecture in the 1950s.

Her exploration began with an essential concept: bossa, a word often used in Brazil to describe a quiet, effortless elegance. From there came the decision to work with the absence of color, a recurring element in the work of Oscar Niemeyer, an architect she deeply admires, and with curves that define both his architecture and Rio de Janeiro’s natural landscape.

Handcrafted Art

Each lampshade is carefully crafted by Heloisa in her atelier. She paints, cuts, and assembles every piece by hand, dedicating hours to the making of each one. This is a slow process, by choice. A way of preserving the intention behind every detail, every brushstroke, every decision.
